“reife besteht darin, dass einer nicht mehr auf sich hereinfällt.”

Heimito von Doderer

Roy Lichtenstein…do some phone calls last forever although only 10 minutes pass??

and why are others incredibly short although it’s past midnight when you hang up?

wow, 8pm already and still two shakespeare plays on hold.

but i have had the best alone-weekend in months: my own little perfect “handsome actors”-weekend. i’ve been watching all kinds of films and series with some of the most adorable actors i could think of…. starting with patrick dempsey/t.r. knight (grey’s anatomy), jason o’mara/james tupper (men in trees) and jason dohring (veronica mars), then james mcavoy (starters for 10, penelope), colin firth/andrew lincoln/hugh grant (love actually), michael vartan (never been kissed) and matt damon (good will hunting).

but my favourite scene this weekend was one which i appreciate not only for the looks (and the acting, of course) but because it’s a scene in which one can almost grab the character’s loneliness and isolation - love it…richard armitage in north and south:

and, yes, of course, i did study. a little. ;p
but, thank god, gerard butler has only one film i really like (dear frankie) which i have seen recently - or i would have watched that one too…hehe. from this point of view love actually was quite perfect: three in one, so to say…

Francis Baconi’m preparing for yet another exam. just read in my notes that francis bacon (1561-1626) died of a cold which he caught when he was trying to preserve meat with ice. tragic, isn’t it?!

and so absurd somehow.

but, to be honest: according to wikipedia it seems a little more complex…
